A large plant with striking red plumage that provides a dramatic look. As the plant becomes more established, impressive red-tinted light green leaves are joined by long drooping flower heads covered in hundreds of small deep-crimson blooms.

If compost is not available, top dress the soil after planting with 1-2 inches of organic mulch, which will begin to breakdown into compost.
